Presentation guideline

Oral presentations

  • You can find your session online in the program.
  • Each oral presentation has 15 minutes, with Q&A included. We recommend you give a max. 12 minutes presentation, and use the rest for Q&A.
  • The projector (beamer) will have HDMI ports available, and have an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a resolution of 1920 x 1080.
  • The presentation computer is runing a Windows 11 system, with Microsoft 365 (including Powerpoint), Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader, and WiFi.
  • Due to the short time, we will not allow switching computers during the session. Therefore, please upload your presentation to the computer (via a USB stick or Web) at least 15 minutes earlier before your session starts.

Poster Presentations

  • As a poster/showcase presenter, you will be involved in these sessions:
    • Poster pitch (in the morning)
      • This session will consist of a sequence of mini presentations by authors of posters (each 1.5 minutes). The presentations should raise interest for your research and enable the audience to decide which posters they want to visit in particular.
      • Details of the 1.5-minute presentation will be provided via emails around May 20.
    • Poster sessions (together with the morning and afternoon coffee breaks)
      • Please prepare a poster (maximum A0 size in portrait orientation) and bring it with you to the symposium. The poster walls are about 2 m high and 1 m width. Adhesive tapes will be provided to fix the poster on the wall.
      • The posters must be fixed on the poster wall by 10:00 AM on the date when your poster is scheduled. You can leave your poster until the end of the date.
  • The poster sessions will be held in conjunction with the coffee breaks, thus it is recommended to be present in front of your poster at those breaks.
