To Ghent by air and train

  • The nearest International Airport is Brussels Airport. From there you can take a train to Ghent (see below) with a duration of 1 hour. The train station is located in/under the arrival hall of the airport. The name of the station is ‘Brussels Airport Zaventem’
  • From Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to Ghent (see below): Trains with a duration about 2.5h (see below).
  • From Paris CDG airport to Ghent (Gent-Sint-Pieters): Trains with a duration of 2.5h (see below).

By Train

The main railway station in Ghent is ‘Gent-Sint-Pieters‘, located in the southern part of the city. You can consider station ‘Gent-Dampoort’ or ‘Gentbrugge’ if your hotel is closer to these stations.

In Ghent: by foot, bus or tram

The workshop venue, conference venue, reception and conference dinner are located in the city center and on walking distance from eachother.

For longer distances (eg. from railway station to the venues) you can take tram/bus in Ghent. Install the app ‘De Lijn’ to plan your trip and buy and activate your ticket. Destination: ‘Technicum’ (wednesday) or ‘Wintercircus’ (thursday-saturday).

By car

If you come by car, you can park at parking Savaan, parking Gent Zuid or parking Sint-Pietersplein. Please be aware of the Low Emission Zone and use a recent/updated car navagiation system!
