GeoAI 2026 invites proposals for half-day workshops or hands-on tutorials that align with the conference theme “GeoAI – Bridging AI and Geography for Science and Society”. Workshops and tutorials that bring together participants from different disciplines are especially welcome.
Workshops and tutorials will be held on in the afternoon of 3 June 2026.
Please submit your proposal to GeoAI2026@UGent.be with the subject line “GeoAI 2026 workshop proposal” by 18 January 2026. Decision will be made on 28 January 2026.
Proposals should be submitted as a PDF (about 1 page), and contain the following information:
- Title of the workshop/tutorial (and acronym if applicable)
- Workshop/tutorial organisers (Name, affiliationcontact details, link to your website and/or social media)
- Short description of the workshop/tutorial format (e.g., research presentations, discussion, hands-on tutorial, …)
- Goals and scope
- Tentative program
- Target audience
- Expected number of participants
- Plans for attracting and engaging participants
- Other technical requirements, if any
