Acceptance decisions sent and registration opens

We have just sent out the acceptance decisions of all the submissions to the corresponding authors. You might want to check whether the notification email goes into your Spam box or not. If you have not received a decision for your submission, please contact us GeoAI2026@UGent.be. We would like to thank all members of the Program Committee for their help in the review process.

Meanwhile, we have just opened the registration system. Early-bird registration ends on March 30.

Submission deadline extended to Feb 3

Due to many requests, we are extending the submission deadline to February 3, 2026 (Anywhere on Earth, AoE) for:

  • Extended abstracts (600–1200 words)
  • Published-article track

We warmly welcome submissions from academia as well as industry, government, and NGOs.

Publication opportunity. Accepted extended abstracts will be published in the conference online proceedings (with a DOI) and will be openly available on the conference website. We are also exploring special issue opportunities in reputed journals in computer science and GIScience; further details will be shared in early February.

Awards and travel support. GeoAI 2026 will include Best Paper/Presentation Awards. In addition, travel grants will be available for early-career researchers; details and application instructions will be announced in early February.

Call for Workshops & Tutorials + Updated Conference Dates

To make room for pre-conference workshops and hands-on tutorials and to better match venue availability, we’ve slightly adjusted the GeoAI 2026 dates to 3-6 June 2026.

  • Wednesday 3 June (afternoon): Pre-conference workshops & tutorials
  • Thursday 4 June (early morning) – Saturday 6 June (early afternoon): Main conference. A tentative programme is available here.

If you are interested in organising a pre-conference workshop or hands-on tutorial, please submit your proposal by 18 January 2026. More details can be found here.

Note that the call for extended abstracts for the main conference is open until 20 January 2026.
